May 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours cola brown with a beige head. Aroma is lightly roasted with caramel and chestnut notes. Medium body. Flavor is similar to the aroma, but very light. Not bad, but one of the weaker brown ales I’ve had recently.

Apr 30, 2008 Pours a clear ruby brown color. Almonds and molasses in the aroma. Fairly light with hints of molasses and chocolate at the finish. Simple yet well executed.

Apr 11, 2008 Chesnut brown, moderate heading, smells like peat moss, faint hops and light caramel malt. Taste is very mild, some supportive hop bitterness to a somewhat watery malt body. Smooth drinking, would be a good session beer by the pitcher. Nothing very distinctive about this one, but no real glaring flaws either.

Apr 10, 2008 Pours dark prune color with tan head, nose is nutty. Flavor is typical of a brown, but not as complex or interesting.

Apr 9, 2008 12oz bottle. A friend of mine lives in Bar Harbor and has always suggested me picking up some of the "real ale". Pour was very dark with a large head atop. Not much in the nose. Taste was tabacco, malts, and some nuts. Pretty unimpressive for a beer with a lot of potential
