afireinside96 (215), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA May 15, 2008 pours honey colored with an inch of tightly packed white head. smells of grapes and herbal hops. upon sipping it you are hit with a strand of sweetness that immediately recedes to a lemony bitterness, a bit nutty as well. finishes on the sticky sweet side of things. the alcohol level is fairly undetectable except with a bit of warmth present near the end. not bad, not great either, but certainly drinkable. lb4lb (1077), Austin, Texas, USA May 12, 2008 My apologies if I got this in trade, as I forgot it’s source.
Pours rich golden white a medium sized whitish head. Smell is lemon, lager like malt and light alcohol. Together comes across fresh, bright and somewhat inviting. Taste is a bit dusty, chalky and lightly alcoholic without the burn, and with lager like malty characteristics and orange rind flavor. Flavorful with strong orange rind character and light malt. Very mild hop character. Citrusy, yet lager like. Definitely unique, but not particularly great, with some alcohol presence, which is a bit obtrusive at 7%. acearl (160), Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2008 Amber Orange hue with creamy white lasting head, seems like a confused discripton that the brewer presents, more so like a really hoppy lager. Like an american ipa with out much of a lingering aftertaste, or thickness. Aftertaste was little sour Different, nice and drinkable. Nothing too uber though. Chipper (5), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA does not count May 4, 2008 Pours a dark golden color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is a little malty and hops are present. Flavor is a little lighter than expected and went very well a Porterhouse. Overall an excellent brew and I’d buy it again. Vas19 (145), Maryland, USA Apr 26, 2008 Pours orange with a thick white head. Aroma is grassy hops and malt. The flavor is malty with a strong woody hop component. Some herbs in there too. Not in love but not hating it either.
