dkachur (370), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA May 9, 2008 Bottle from a sampler from Harris Teeter Barracks Charlottesville. Pours a dark orange with minimal head. Nondescript malty aroma. Grainy, gummy bear malty taste. I find this odd. Hudspart (254), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle (part of a mixed 12 pack): Pretty good CC. Aroma and flavor of hops. Very drinkable. I would gladly drink again. greedycheater (57), Oklahoma, USA May 3, 2008 Solid clear amber pour with moderate head. Aroma is balanced. Despite the abv, I did notice a hint of alcohol on the nose. Full mouth feel. Warm flavor - what an amber lager should be. Sweet and malty, a bit sticky, with a subtle finish of caramel. Rated better than Fat Tire for good reason. zappafan99 (59), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 Roasted malt smell on a red body with a thin cascacing head. Raisin on a watery body. Malt with very little hops. Buttery beer. Red in the light , malty brown without. Head thins to a small topping. Malt and hops combine instead of differintiating and competing for attention, the beer then fades slowly. GMUcrew7 (75), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 2, 2008 Updated: May 4, 2008Pours a very nice amber color with small light tan head. The aroma is mild maltiness, with a solid hop presence. The flavor is similar, the sweet malts are the initial flavor, ending with the hops. There are also hints of a home brewed flavor. In my opinion this is a tough style of beer to master and this is a decent amber.
