Collint (252), Sylva WCU, North Carolina, USA Apr 28, 2008 Bottle, pours a clear orange. Head is off white and creamy. Aroma is a nice balance of hop and malt bursts. Flavor is mostly malty with a hop backround. The end is dry, but not umplesent. Awesome beer for what I was expecting. Retired? TikiE (252), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Apr 28, 2008 Wow good beer thanks DANGLE! Pours a hazy orange color with minimal head that turns to bubbles and lacing on top. Kind of smells like a barley wine but does not taste like it with its notes of caramel and vanilla with clean hops and a bitter finish. I like this one to bad its retired....ha nucci your brother gave me and collin a retired beer! cbkschubert (1424), I-10 exit 299 (under bridge), Arizona, USA Mar 11, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Not quite sure how old this bottle is. At least 11 months by the bottle markings. Anyways, it pours a slightly hazy golden color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is mostly toasted malt and light hops. Flavor is mostly toasted malt with some light hop bitterness. Light to medium body. Not bad, not bad at all. Thanks Bill. Jonte (274), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 13, 2008Bottle at The Rover, Gothenburg. Orange/red color with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma: Mostly sweet malt, tobacco, caramel and some light hops.
Flavor: Sweet malt, tobacco, caramel, biscuits, light citrus bitterness. A bit too unbalanced on the malty side. It needs some more hops. Not my favorite beer from Great Divide. Skeegle (254), USA Jan 22, 2008 I bit bland I guess you could say. This beer doesn’t have that great caramel toffee taste that most ESB’s do. It was certainly bitter, and very refreshing. An excellent session beer being that it has nice hop presence, and the hops taste very fresh, but there isn’t much kick or any memorable flavors to this drink.
