golubj (945), Redwood City, California, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Straw yellow, hazy blond pour with a little white head. Aroma has light citrus, some pale belgian malt, a little bit of earthy spicing. Flavor is the same, pleasant at first, but the spices leave a somewhat odd aftertaste. undsioux7 (458), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Jul 11, 2008 Pours cloudy yellow with a white head that dissapates to a small ring. Nice aroma of wheat, citris, grass, and lemon. The taste is the same with some pepper and a bit of sweetness. A little thicker then I like and more toward a wit, then farmhouse funk saison, but not bad. hotstuff (3015), Indiana, USA Jul 11, 2008 Bottle. Small white head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, cloudy, visible carbonation, and a golden hue. The aroma was malt, hops, some spicy notes, lightly peppery, yeasty, and citrus fruits. Ditto for the flavor. The mouthfeel was sprite and this beer is medium in body. Quaffable, decent for the style but there are better of this style to be had IMO. Not a lot of character with this beer and while it is not a bad beer by any means, it did not leave me wanting to seek this one out again. Worthy of a try. Duellist17 (34), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 5, 2008 Nice and Spicy. A great representation of the style! Ginger and Cinnimon. Crisp finish. Belgian-esque esters. Merrill (18), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle chilled. Opens wild with foam spilling out. Pours yellow and cloudy with a whit head that stays and a nice lace. Aroma of citrus and spice like a Belgian. Apricots and thyme. Flavor immediately sweet and wheatey - probably the best a wheat beer has to offer. Citrus and a background of of hops and a slight touch of alcohol. The finish is pleasantly hoppy and somewhat crisp - not cloying as some wheat and tripels can be.
