Commercial Description:
"Is it just my imagination," queried old Santa, surveying the scene, "or is my Elf only getting worse and worse every year? What's next? Seriously Bad Elf, I'll wager. Mark my words."

This Very Bad Elf is one fine ale - rich, hardy, and flavorful, brewed to an original 1795 Thames Valley recipe, with a very special pale amber malt that is rarely used nowadays, and balanced by a modest addition of English Fuggle aroma hops. 'Ere's to your elf!

From bottle. Light DMS, biscuit and toffee, with nice alcohol sweetness. Very little hoppy bitterness. Decent neutral fruit aroma. Golden orange-amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with light to medium carbonation. Starts fairly sweet with bisuit, some toffee, and light alcoholic sweetness. Mild warming. Light bitter finish with neutral fruitiness and dry after.

thanks H+A! ... smell needs major improvement ... heads abit low for my liking ... golden copper in colour ... hides the abv quite well ... lacing is very nice ... smooth and drinkable but lacks that special something to make it stand out ... ’jiminy jilikers’"

Aroma is a mild sweet malt scent that is a little corn like. Color is a deep gold with good carbonation and almost no head. Taste is rich and sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth. Finish comes on with a sweet malt taste that comes across almost creamy and is followed by a mellow bitterness. After taste is the bitterness growing a bit then a mild alcohol feel. I like it, its a nice drinking brew.

This beer had a thin head and ery clear Amber color. It had very little nose and a smooth taste. My dad got me these beers as a joke but they have turned out pretty good
