Dunkelstar (13), Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA May 13, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a slight cream colored head. Nose is a low hop, high malt with a definite sweetness. Mouthfeel is initially sweet malt with a touch of bitterness . . . medium carbonation. Could be slightly more malty, but it goes down smoothly with a slight hop aftertaste from the dry hopping. Overall . . . Not bad. posikyle (109), USA May 13, 2008 Absolutely horrrible. Pours a deep brown color. Very low viscosity, thick head. Aroma is a little funky. As soon as it hit my lips i was hit with what seemed like a thousand pounds of alcohol and honey. Do not buy, under any circumstances. A definite drain pour. jason (1408), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 10, 2008 Bottle. Poured a deep dark brown body with thin head. Aroma is a n ice mix of roast and hops. Flavor is a light roast, caramel and sweet honey mix. Light hoppiness noted and a tad too sweet for my Porter likings. dalepryor (46), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA May 9, 2008 this is a pretty good porter, lots of honey flavor, and pretty light body. This is a good brew, i’ve had it many times and will probably have it many more. Zinister (755), Houston, Texas, USA May 8, 2008 Pours a very rich brown with nice brown head. Sweetly roasted bready malts with a bit of smoke. Flavor is a bit smoky with caramel, honey and malt. Pretty basic.
