Naka (362), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pours a hazy orange golden color with a thick white fizzy head. The nose has a lot of fruity yeast, cotton candy, alcohol, pear, and a nice bitterness. Very thin body and not a very strong flavor. Light yeast, toffee, nuttiness, and some fruit. Apples, pears, clove and a warming alcohol. santoslhalper (160), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 Thank you to Naka for sharing! Cloudy gold with a rich, frothy, strong white head that has great retention. Fragrant, floral, peppery wheat aroma with some banana, clove, citric and bleach notes. Clean, crisp, light and refreshing taste. Great wheat malt flavor with nice, subtle sweet and spicy notes. Lots bread and ginger. I like this brew because it’s complex, interesting and creative, yet quite sessionable and refreshing. Gooooood stuff.. dpjuart (495), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2008 35 cL bottle courtesy Naka, shared with Exec. Board. Pours hazy yellow gold with filmy, white head. Bready, buscuity nose with lemon and apple. Taste is fruity, citrus, apple and pear w/ mild bread. Dry finish with alcohol warmth. Thin body, watery with good lacing. Sessionible Belgian. . . kind of an oxymoron. Tasty, fruity Belgian Pale Ale kind of thing. gary07734 (84), Tyne & Wear, England Jun 29, 2008 0.33l bottle in Bruges cafe, Newcastle.
Pale murky gold ale with lots of carbonation. Taste and smell are lager-ish, some hops, wheat and a sour finish not much balance to the sourness.
Certainly I’ve had better similar blonde ales. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 26, 2008 This bottled brew from the Stonewood Alehouse in Schaumberg, IL poured a medium sized head of foamy white colored finely sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a strongly carbonated hazy yellow white colored body. The aroma was mild with sweet malty wit notes. The mouth feel was tingly and astringent from start to finish. The flavor was hoppy with crisp coriander notes.
