[1999 Bottle, thanks argo0!] Pours light cola-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma has some port-like qualities, honey, brown sugar, raisin--very nice. Taste is chocolate, roasted malt, plum, and a good deal of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel with a decent finish. The aroma on this is great, and if the alcohol wasn’t so present the taste would have been up there too. Thanks again for breaking this one out, argo0!

Tawny brown. A little nutty, with a touch of diacetyl. A hit of astringency leads to dry, woody notes. Not bad for a beer that is supposed to be off.

A bit thin, but still brings forth some wonderful creamy chocolate flavor. Chalky dry finish and nice aftertaste of roasty malts and almonds.

Brown-amber w/ toffee foam. Milk chocolate, toffee, & nuts on the nose. Smooth medium body. Chocolate mocha flavour w/ roasty, nutty notes.

RBSG2003 Ridiculously clear, deep, dark copper brew. Not much head... I like a little head ;) The aroma is of milk chocolate and English toffee. The flavor is well-balanced, malty and rich with a touch of caramel. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Short, bitter finish. Very nice vintage ale that pulls up just short of being world-class in my book.

Milk chocolate, caramel, toffee, and a dark breadiness in the aroma, along with a faint mustiness. Dark, opaque brown in color, with a creamy, rocky head. More chocolate to be found in the flavor profile, along with a measure of sweetness, toffee, and grainy and bready malt. Very smooth, creamy texture with low effervescence which brings it very close to cask-conditioned in feel.

Thanks Hopsrus (I hope I'm right) for bring this beer to Chi-town. Reddish brown hue with average head and good lacing. Roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla, leather, and pear detected on the nose. Slighty tart and bitter taste, but not overpowering. Finished pretty clean of the style. A bit watery mouthfeel. Glad to have tried it.

Malt, treacle, tobacco aromas. Copper colour, poured a medium toffee head, lot's of floaties. Robust malt, toffee, caramel and butterscotch, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Complex, bitter but good! Superb!
