[ Courtesy of elgaucho ] Pours hazy medium orange red color with an average creamy lacy beige head. Aroma is resinous grass with some citrus grapefruit and some slight raisin. Flavor is moderately sweet and perfectly bitter with a long to average duration. Perfectly balanced. You get the malt first with the hops kicking in hard towards the end. Body is gorgeously smooth and oily, carbonation is soft. This is a wonderful APA! darn1207 (667), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

I’ve had this on several occasions - at the brewery and in various places in ohio. I came across an old note with just a score, but have had this as my favorite APA for a while. Surprised I didn’t have a rating in for it. Details to follow next time I can track it down. cprochak (445), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours dark gold with a touch of amber and nice white head. Solid pine aroma with just a touch of vanilla and caramel. Mild sweetness and then bam! The hops hit hard. Great hoppy pale ale. andyhwcinc (59), Illinois, USA

Consistent with the typical Three Floyd’s penchant for overtly hoppy brews, goes down smooth and is highly enjoyable. I’ve had many pints of this ale and it’s always best on draft. Highly recommended! bp (483), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Solid pale ale. Pours a hazy amber with a decent off white head. Lots of citrusy hops on the nose. Nice hops presence in the beer, not overly bitter but definte bite to it. Finishes crisp with the citrusy hops flavor lingering. Pretty good brew. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Pours a very cloudy amber color with a medium off-white head which leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma is resinous hops, earth, tangerine, grapfruit, and light caramel malts. Taste is very earthy, plenty of citrus, and balanced out with the caramel malts. I expected it to be much more bitter or thick but the mouthfeel and bitterness is near perfect. ddenomme (28), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
