Commercial Description:
Big, caramel, vanilla with notes of fruit and malt. Finishing clean and crisp. The package is as elegant as the beer it contains: a cobalt blue bottle with platinum lettering, finished with a natural cork and sealing wax, encased in a cherry wood box. There are only 3,000 bottles of Samuel Adams Millennium, and each is signed and numbered by Koch. A bottle of Samuel Adams Millennium costs about two hundred dollars.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94 on 7/26/09: Pours a cloudy amber mahogany with viscous legs and a few stray off-white bubbles. Aroma of sweet caramel molasses and raisin complexity with some light fruity and alcohol notes. Starts thick and complex with lots of rich dark caramel and brown sugar sweetness along with some cookie dough and mild milk chocolate flavor before a slightly warming sweet dark sugary finish. An interesting and enjoyable brew. Thanks Brad!

Bottle # 2209. Brown in color and a little cloudy with no head, but has excellent legs. Aroma is slightly spicy with maple, brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, raisin and fig. Taste is ofmaple, raisin, honey toffee, caramel, vanilla, light wood and very warming alcohol.

Bottle, thank you brad for the opportunity to try this long retired beer/cordial. Pours an amber brune body with no head. Maple, Smokey oak, chewy liquid caramel, chocolate and licorice. Effervescent etoh and a strong chocolate warming. Hardly feels like a beer, with that said its very enjoyable in small samples.

Special thanks to ygtbsm94 for sharing. Dark turbid amber, zero head (great legs). Deep brown sugar coated black grape and molasses aromas ride huge undercurrents of maple and vanilla sherry. Caramelized port and warm golden raisin flavors round with a soft burnt syrupy vanilla and molasses-plum backbone. Medium bodied and slick. Fantastic…

(750ml bottle, thanks ygtbsm94) No head atop murky dark brown body, nice legs. Aroma is sweet, vanilla, caramel, raisin, some Port. Taste is sweet, vanilla, alcohol, some caramel, honey. Sticky full body. Fair amount of alcohol warming, but not really boozy.

Shared by ygtbsm94. Much softer, and much improved over Utopias. Relatively soft, alcohol is fairly well hidden. The amount of toffee/caramel is pretty ridiculous, but I guess I’m just impressed that this isn’t boozy and terrible like Utopias was.

Thanks Brad. Bottle Nbr 1337. Well balanced for the high alcohol and fits with being a high end dessert with all the sugar here. Other main notes are Port and Sherry; Alcohol and Wood; Caramel and Molasses; Raisin and Apple. A few legs left in this and should be just as tasty in the next year or two.
