Angeloregon (1464), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 24, 2007 Oh Blue Boar. Poured a light amber-golden. Clear and mildly spice/malty. Pretty boring, but drinkable. BelgianBeerGal (842), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Dec 6, 2007 draught into pint glass years ago. I remember nothing good or awful about this beer. It was average across the board, RSRIZZO (938), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 17, 2007 Had this beer on 5/15/1999. Color is a deep brown with good carbonation but a thin head. Aroma is a sweet lightly roasted malt scent. Taste is sweet, light and clean. It starts with somewhat light body that goes down with a smooth malt flavor. The finish is a crisp lightly roasted malt flavor and light hop flavoring. It’s a bit lighter than I think good red should be. JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 24, 2007 Bronze to copper in color with a wispy white head. Minimal nose with hints of biscuits and light caramel. LIght caramel and toasted grain flavors. HInts of herbal hops. I keep looking for more, but there is not a whole lot more in this one. MadMan (468), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 17, 2007 Bottle. Didn’t know it was retired, still at the grocery store here. Pours amber in color with an off white head. Aroma of malt. For being so cheap it has a decent malty character, I used to think it was good which is why I tried it again with a more experienced palate. Taste very similar to the amber, and is also overly sweet. This could be old beer. I like the style of the bottle and we used to drink quite a bit of this stuff since it looked expensive but was very cheap in the thick cardboard 12 packs.
