May 23, 2008 Tap: 5-30-06. Dark copper, huge frothy head, great lacing, entire glass is coated. Great aroma, huge orange, mango, grapefruit zest, plenty of backbone. Flavor again, very zesty up front, orange, mango, grapefruit. Huge caramel through the middle, floral character cleans the palate in the finish. Great balance for a big brew. Well done.

Oct 20, 2007 Had this beer on 10/7/1999. Aroma is very hoppy. Color is a nice brown with good carbonation and head. Taste is a mild malt flavor on a medium body with great hop flyover, then finishes with a nice bitterness and more hop flavor. Its like drinking hop juice. I really like it, its a very tasty Pale Ale.

Oct 11, 2007 Draft from 3F brewpub. Clear copper pour with white creamy head. Floral and hop notes in the smell. Crisp flavor with more hops, caramel, and spice. Slight bitterness in the finish. Not Alpha King, but very good.

Oct 9, 2007 Notes from the GTMW ’06. Clear orange with a moderate eggshell head. Aroma of sweaty pineapple and grapefruit hops, and some sweet caramel malts. Flavor was grassy, otherwise the same as the aroma--fruity and grassy are underlined. Light body, moderate smooth carbonation. Pretty good.
