Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter and Spring.
Smooth and satisfying, this example of an historic style of beer derives its rich, chocolatey character from a blend of Brown and Chocolate malts in the brew. Its notable coffee notes and creamy finish make it a wonderful accompaniment to many sweet foods – especially chocolate pudding. 5.4% ABV.

NOTE: Most Fuller's beer in the US is served by handpump kegs and not a cask. Ask your server.

2009-12-04. Red and brown tinged black body, lovely foamy tan head looks gorgeous. Flavour is modest, roasty profile is less bitter than expected, sweetish malt core, light fruity tang in the finish. 7+ Modest roast in the aroma, dry roast malt, light tangy quality, hint of something. Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate. Decent but I prefer the fullness of the draft version personally. Cask at Volo, Toronto

Cask at Mahars. Pours a nice dark brown with a great head. Extremely thick feel for a cask, flavor is mild and sweet, slightly tart.

Half pint, cask well-kept at Doric Arch, Euston, London. Black, ruby tinged body under a thin, beige head. Inviting roasted aroma of sweet malts. Prunes and plums in flavour sustained by roasted malts and balanced by a lingering, smooth bitter end. Full bodied, but still with fine drinkability. A well made, mid-sweet porter (05.05.2009).

Cask at several West London pubs, with tashi, Easter weekend 09 (plus several prior occasions). Near black with a rich fruity aroma. On the tongue the roasted notes, caramel and fruits come together wonderfully. A great beer.
