| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Courtesy SoLan. Hazy dark amber pour, thin even white head. Moderately hoppy aroma, a bit of a muddy character to it. A bit milder on the taste than I anticipated, but still very drinkable and crisp, with a nice lingering hop finish. Mandarin, sweet mango and candy apple aromas.
BANG. Mandarins and sweet orange pith. Very dry, very bitter tongue dryness. Thick mango and banana, deep rustic roasted malts.
So deep and complex, but light and fruity. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Growler, courtesy Solan. Pours a dark orange color with a small and foamy white head that settles to a thin film leaving swirls of lacing in the glass. The aroma is huge of piney hops, pine resin, and citrus hop bitterness. The flavor follows suit with the fresh pine and resinous hops, bitter grapefruit and citrus hops balanced out by a sweet toffee and caramel malt base. The hops run the show in this brew though. Medium bodied with ample carbonation and long, bitter finish from all the hops. This is a really hoppy double ipa, and one I enjoyed. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Aroma is citrus, pine, very resiny, you can smell it from across the room. Flavor is very tropical fruits with that resin, grapefruit, and very earthy. Medium body with good carbonation. Pretty fantastic. Thanks Kan! bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Growler… C&P’sLYFO Throwdown… This beer rocks!... Hazy amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Very resiny, piny aroma with a little grapefruit thrown in for good measure. Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Citric and pine bitterness dominate the palate – “extremely bitter” would not be an overstatement. Bitter, grassy, dry finish.
