Commercial Description:
English-Style Imperial Stout is rich and dessert-like and exhibits powerful malt flavors and hints of dark fruits. Large amounts of roasted malts give an opaque black color and a velvety texture suggesting unsweetened cocoa. Dry-hopped with East Kent Goldings and aged for three months in cask. Brewed by John Stuart.

The aroma was roast, tobacco and dark chocolate, while fruity with a coffee nature and a low aromatic presence. Caramel emerged at the beer warmed. The aroma was ashy with some alcohol. The beer arrived black with a brown lasting head which laced the glass. The flavor was strong with dark chocolate and light espresso coffee with dark fruits, raisins and prunes, and a light flavor of alcohol along with an acrid roasted grain presence. The finish was dry with lasting nice espresso roast and dark chocolate into the aftertaste and beyond. The body was full with a low carbonation and a creamy full texture on the palate. A nice Imperial Stout, better as it warmed and with some strong warming effects of alcohol. Half-pint at Dirty Jacks.

Clear glass Growler. Dark black pour, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt. TheBeerCellar says its skunked. Wrong! I love it perfect. Nicely hopped. Heavy bodied, syrupy. Nice.

A growler brought to the Atlanta Ale meeting. Bourbon and chocolate and roastiness in the aroma. Dark brown with drops of lace. Hoppy with appropriate carbonation. Rich at the finish, yeast and coffee observed on the way. Also more bitter as it goes. More like an imperial porter, and complex and enjoyable.
