Commercial Description:
This one is sick.
It's the Quinte55ence aged for 5 weeks in a Woodford Reserve whisky barrel.
Walk away. Don't make eye contact with it. And don't show fear. Just walk away.

Pours dark brown-black with a faint head. Aroma initially of alcohol, with an underlying sweetness of brown sugar. Flavor is of caramel, chocolate and vanilla with an underlying alcohol burn.

Thanks Naven and Jimbowood! A nondescript bottle led to one of the more delicious finds I’ve had in a while. Just outstanding in every way. Rich, thick and loaded with barrel aged flavor. The group of us universally agreed that this set the benchmark pretty high for future barrel aged beers. What an outstanding find.

Bottle from my man Jimbo. Hand bottled by the brewer. Shared with a bunch of folks. This is a near perfect beer. Rich, smooth, wonderful. Vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar were the dominant flavors I detected. This is possibly the best example of barrel aging that I have tasted. We all agreed that this is very similar to the first batch of Angels share, and perhaps better. It’s that good. Even uber brewer Lee stated it’s the best beer he’s had in a long time. We all agreed. Very good.

Bottle acquired in trade. Poured a dark black color with brown edges and an a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, wood, whisky, and vanilla. Tastes of vanilla, bourbon, wood, dark fruits, and chocolate. I liked the way the Barrel Aging was done on this. The more I drank, the more I liked it!

Poured a hazy purple brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits, and a bit of caramel. Taste of dried fruits, vanilla, bourbon, nuts, and light toffee, with more bourbony alcohol in the finish. Could be much better if it was aged in a red wine barrel. Thanks to Steve for sharing.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this hand bottle. Pours a deep brown almost black with some amber notes and a small off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, vanilla, oak, whiskey, toffee, nuts, some alcohol, prunes and some Belgian fruity esters. Flavor of whiskey, oak, nuts, vanilla, sticky sweetness, dark fruits and some spicy/fruity Belgian esters.

Cask at atlanta cask ale festival. One of my favorites on the day. Complex palate and wafting aroma. Subtle effects of the oak aging. Slightly sweet and full bodied. Flavors of red fruit and roasted coffee malt.
