| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Bottle at Toronado SD. Nose is thick with berry, wood, almost bourbon, vanilla, and a nice hint of Bretty sour. The smell hints at a sourness that just isn’t in the beer. Flavor showcases a really excellent wood character that Shyam pointed out is exceptionally balanced, balancing and among the best examples of aging that is out there. But this is kinda where it ends. The beer has no real levels or variation, just a vague dark Belgian quality without any of the fruit of the aroma. TampaBrew (805), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Poured a red brown. Nose is sour fruits, lactic acid, grapes and vinous notes. Flavor is a nicely tart, grape skin, some tangerine, apricot, red wine and alcohol. Pretty good. What I learned from this beer is that the US has a long way to go to catch up to the belgian sours. While this beer is great, I tried a Cantillon along side of it and it paled in comparison. American sours for the most part lack that timeless complexity. With that said, still an amazing beer. Strong alcohol kick, this is one of the best, srtongest sours of the night. Bottle from Ryan Blanksi’s Sourfest- Hollywood, Florida. Fin (3415), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 29, 2009 750 ml bottle - ah, yea, like you’re the man bruce!! big thanks for cracking this one out; light amber with thin tan head and rosey glow; fruity, musky and sour; thick, resiny, mildly sour and slightly sharp on first sip; cherries, wine, reminding me some of supplication; lots of sweetness in the nose and very well rounded; texture is just amazingly soft and letting the subtle flavors adjust to your palate with each sip; sourness is always there and well rounding to the overall flavor profile; has aged very well and more impressive to me than Deviation; thanks again Bruce!!!
