TampaBrew (746), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 9, 2009 Poured a red brown. Nose is sour fruits, lactic acid, grapes and vinous notes. Flavor is a nicely tart, grape skin, some tangerine, apricot, red wine and alcohol. Pretty good. What I learned from this beer is that the US has a long way to go to catch up to the belgian sours. While this beer is great, I tried a Cantillon along side of it and it paled in comparison. American sours for the most part lack that timeless complexity. With that said, still an amazing beer. Rustyham (545), miami, Florida, USA Nov 4, 2009 Really thick, earthy sweet and wour vinegar flavor. Strong alcohol kick, this is one of the best, srtongest sours of the night. Bottle from Ryan Blanksi’s Sourfest- Hollywood, Florida. Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Nov 4, 2009 Bottle kindly shared by Craig, many thanks mate, had this at the Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands 30-10-09 amber with a filmy head that clings to the glass on the way down. The aroma is soft warm, wet hedgerows with a bit of alcohol, wood and citrus its a very nice aroma. The mouthfeel is soft, sweetness and citrus combine and are excellent, fruit is very peach skin, finises gentle and dry, this eters out lovely, really good beer. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 29, 2009 750 ml bottle - ah, yea, like you’re the man bruce!! big thanks for cracking this one out; light amber with thin tan head and rosey glow; fruity, musky and sour; thick, resiny, mildly sour and slightly sharp on first sip; cherries, wine, reminding me some of supplication; lots of sweetness in the nose and very well rounded; texture is just amazingly soft and letting the subtle flavors adjust to your palate with each sip; sourness is always there and well rounding to the overall flavor profile; has aged very well and more impressive to me than Deviation; thanks again Bruce!!! arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 21, 2009 I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of this from ughsmash, thank you so much! i saved it to take to a tasting in CA and while it was quite rare it was surprisingly not as amazing as I had hoped. it was red in color but not as dark as Consecration. It smelled a little sour and fruity but nothing too amazing. The flavor was a little complex, cherries, fruit but not much sourness. The alcohol was quite evident. It did remind me slightly of Consecration but I wish I could have had this two years ago when it was first released.

Nose was of peaches, cherry, ripe fruits, and a hint of vinegar.
Taste is extremely balanced for a sour, good fruit flavor, not sweet though, moderate vinegar, currents, finishes with a medium sourness. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Aug 7, 2009 Bottle generously shared by hophead84. As we started twisting off the metal cage, the cork and cage shot to the ceiling. Pours a rusty crimson color with a 2 finger thick off white head leaving some spotty lacing. Some tart vinegar, dark cherries, currants, sweet oak and a touch of booze. Flavor held some red wine, oak, vinegar. Finish was very palatable, not as sour as expected.
