Commercial Description:
After a few beers things tend to go wrong - also in the brew house. One day, when we were doing Ølfabrikken Porter we ended up with a gravity slightly (well, ok, significantly) higher than expected. There was nothing left to do but to let it ferment and blend it into a batch of our regular Porter. It was of course delicious and before blending it we saved a couple of hectoliters to be savoured at special occasions. Only available on draft.

Hand bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet mlaty with lots of chocolate, leading to a dry chocolate finish.

Hand bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dark brown dense head. Loads of liqourice, brown sugar, roast, light coffee and fruits in the aroma Very complex. This is followed up by the flavour. Brown sugar, cocoa, liqourice, roast, chocolate spice and some light smokyness. Medium to full bodied. Is roasty and bitter in the end without being overdone. Nice glass of beer.

(Hand bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Hildigöltur. Completely opaque black with a small, rough, light brown head. Sweetish aroma of burned malt - also vinous and alcoholic. Very full-bodied and a little low in carbonation - probably due to the handbottling. Notes of burned malt, coffee and dried fruit. Distinctly sweet but ends on a malt bitter note. Yum. If just all mistakes came out like this... 281207

Handbottled, thanks to Hildigöltur. [Only Danish beers session @ Myrup’s, thanks for a great evening Peter] Small fizzy beige head that mostly diminished. Pitch black colour. Spare lacework. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, toasted malt. Over the palate roasted malt, bitter chocolate and coffee. Sweet dried fruit and complex malty notes. Full bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet and bitter flavour. Bitter chocolate and hint of bitter liquorish finish that lingers. 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

Handbottled, thanks to Hildigöltur. Still had a good portion of carbonation. Pours pitch black with a little dense and brown head. Aroma is heavy roasted malt and coffee with a mild chocolate malt note. Flavour is thick chocolate and some bitterness (quite a lot) with a solid coffee note. Quite hoppy finish. Nice and heavy flavoured.

Draught at Ølbaren. Black coloured with a medium sized beige head. Roasted aroma of cofee, rye bread and chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of liquorice, chcolate, coffee and rye bread with notes of smoke and dried fruits. Roasted finish. The sweetness is very overwhelming.
