fonefan (4468), Ulfborg, Denmark Jun 9, 2008 Cask handpump @ Reading Beer Festival 2008. Clear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, grape, orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Very nice. ;o)) (020508) harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 3, 2008 Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. The Marble beers really were a highlight of the festival. Clear dark orange colour with thin beige head. Flowery, earthy grapefruit. That’s an outstanding dry IPA. Fantastic aroma. Not bitter enough on the end maybe, but a stunning beer. Fin (2188), Merton, Oxfordshire, England May 6, 2008 Cask at Reading Beer Festival 02-05-08 Lovely warm golden pour and with a stunning hoppy nose. Hops then zipping around in the mouth, mmmhhh.. what a great taste tons of flavour, some sweetness and malts sit below and play very much second fiddle to the hops. A super beer although (for me) I think teeters on the edge if there had have been much more of a hoppy bang and flavour it may well have just tipped over and become unbalanced but it skillfully takes things to the max without overdoing it, wonderful! Mes_and_Sim (4360), Highgate, Greater London, England May 5, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival. Awesome amber gold with a thin bubbly head, very good condition and a hop leaf floating in it! Incredible grassy hop aroma full of spruce and pine. Slight petrol notes but in a good way, honestly. Floral and wonderfully aromatic. A shrine to hops. Fanbloodytastic flavour. Huge orangey hops with a lovely earthy malt base. Very slight sweetness. Hardly any bitterness on the finish and only very slightly dry. Makes it really different. Stunning palate. All round gorgeous. Think of a hoppy alcoholic orange juice and you are almost there. It’s better than I have made it sound I promise...
