Scent is exactly what I want in a wild, tremendous funk over some citrus bite. Very good. Appearance pours looking flatish like Isabelle bit resurrected itself with a nice ring of head as I sat down ton drink over a fizzy and murky yellow liquid. Taste matches the smell and this is a funky winner! Funk, leather, lemon, peach, soury goodness. Big in every sense. A fantastic sour. Highly carbonated and thin, right where the mouth needs to be. Love this brew, sadly probably will not see another opportunity to try it.

Huge thanks to Alex (MasterSki) for breaking this one out during out sour/wild tasting! Poured from 750ml bottle into Bell’s Tulip. A - Pour hazy yellow with a white head. There is lacing evident after the head starts to fizzle down. S - Very funky! A lot more then the Yellow Bus, that’s for sure. There is a lot of Phunky Duck in this one. Really cheesy, sour/tart notes. I really don’t get any of the Yellow Bus on the nose at all, it’s overpowered by the PD. That said, this one has an awesome nose. T - I am able to pick up on the peach notes from the YB here although the funk is more present. Huge sour/tart notes meld well with the sweetness for a nice finish of both sweet & sour (chicken, anyone?). Not much CdT in taste, I think Phunky Duck just overpowers it here. M - Light bodied with a very dry lip-puckering finish. Nice palate-tickling carbonation rounds this one out well. D - An awesome wild from Lost Abbey. Not as easy to drink as the Yellow Bus, but then again, this is something different that I can appreciate when compared to YB.

Bottle @ home. Looks really, really good. The beer in the glass also, very zippy, huge head. Starts very intense sourish, fruity like lemon and a bit apricot. Finish modest sourish, not as intense as the beginning. Very drinkable. Prickly, modest dry aftertaste. Very, very good!

A blend of three amazing brews ... what else would we expect, but excellence. Hazy golden pour, which was surprising to me considering the Cuvee is present here. Funky, fruity, earthy, especially picking up some sour cherry balsamic vinegar notes. Quite nice.

A: Pours a nice light golden hue with some cloudiness. The head is light but bubbly. Shows some pretty nice lace. S: Citric fruit and acid notes from the start. Hints of peaches, with a hint of barn yard funk. T: Mmm peaches! The citrus is there as well. Hints of hay and barn yard funk. Strawberries make an enterence with lemon zest. Just a touch of oak. Nice balance of sweet and tart. M: Light zippy carbonation to carry the flavors. D: Good, my favorite in a sour tasting that included most of the big boys.

My favorite blend so far. Semi hazy orange yellow color not much head. Aroma is sour and fruity with tons of citrus and gueuze like aromas with wood and prickly skin. Flavor is so great. Sour and fruity. Peachy, lemon, grapes and berries. Little barrel and lots of sourness. I really could drink a lot more of this.

Thank you Mike for this exceptional treat. Pours a brilliant light orange-gold with a thin, fine white head. This is a very pretty beer, with fine strands of bubbles rising up throughout the glass. Huge, bright, vibrant aroma full of berry fruit--strawberries--and stonefruit--apricots and peaches--on the top layer. A wonderful intertwining of fermentation notes swirls underneath with fresh, lively brett characteristics. More layers continue to emerge including some barrel oxidation, very light maltiness, and very soft hops spice. There are more bright fruits in the flavor--all of the above--with incredible tartness, mouth-watering acidity, and soft wood influence. Extraordinarily complex, distinctive, and balanced. Simply incredible. The pure, crisp, tart body is conveyed with perfect balance on the palate. It is multi-dimensional, vibrant, and both light and assertive. This beer has made me consider switching my "favorite style" to sour ale. I really hope that I get to try it again someday.
