RateBeer.com -- Correct AleSmith Stumblin MonkAleSmith Stumblin Monk

Description:
Stumblin' Monk is a Belgian-style tripel with a certain je ne sais quois about it that will have you stumblin' drunk trying to figure it out. Three secret spices, along with the traditional coriander, orange peel and Belgian Candi sugar, are fermented by yeast from a real Trappist monastery, making this a beer that truly must be tasted to be described. Stumblin' Monk has a deep golden color, which belies its hearty body and high alcohol content. The aroma gives away its secrets of coriander and orange peel, but its flavor is simply (or more accurately, "complexly") amazing. Thanks to bottle-conditioning, it has a thick, creamy mouthfeel, but that's just the beginning. Layers upon layers of flavors unfold upon the palate in rapid succession. It starts with orange and coriander flavors, then quickly melts into a lush, warm, clove-banana sensation. The flavor then gradually fades to a very slightly bitter, slightly malty-sweet finish.
