RateBeer.com -- Correct McCoys Wee Willy Scotch AleMcCoys Wee Willy Scotch Ale

Description:
Wee Willy Scotch Ale is considered a " Wee Heavy" according to stylistic guidlines that categorize beer by Specific Gravity, hop content and alcohol content. Similiar to our Brown Ale, Wee Willy is smooth and flavourful but beware its alcoholic strength. This beer is made from pale 2 row pale malt, Caramel malt, roasted Barley and Carapils. Caramel malt produces some color in this beer and traditional roasted malt adds additional color and a slight roasted flavor. This beer was mashed at higher temperatures to convert starch to less fermentable sugars producing a maltier flavor profile. English Fuggle hops were added in the kettle at 4 different times to give Wee Willy a subtle, yet pleasantly detectable hop flavor.

Brewer: McCoys Public House
Style: Scotch Ale
