This beer is made from a recipe by the James River Homebrewers, who came in and helped us brew their beer. This is how Steve Severtson describes the brew that he formulated, "a beer style from the pre-prohibition days when German-American brewers made beer like those from the old country using American ingredients. Unable to get German malts, corn was used to offset the high tannins in American malt. Hopped like a German Pils but with a grainy corn sweetness."
