RateBeer.com -- Correct Stone Coast Stoos Russian Imperial StoutStone Coast Stoos Russian Imperial Stout

Description:
Styrian Goldings hop pellets were used to give a flavor and aroma that were able to get a nice edgewise into the sweetness of the malts. Chinook were used not only as bittering agents but also employed a flavor addition as well. Those high alphas barely stand up to the complexity of everything else going on in this beer. The big alcohol is hardly noticeable at first swallow until a feeling of warming nearly creeps upon you like a cat upon unsuspecting prey. When it does pounce you get the feeling you might be consuming alcoholic bread rife with dried fruits of all varieties.
