RateBeer.com -- Correct Chicago Golden GunnarChicago Golden GunnarDescription: Golden Gunnar is a German style Pilsner aggressively hopped with the noble Czech Saaz and German Spalt varieties. The aroma additions, added at the end of the boil, were exclusively Czech Saaz. These hops help create the classic "pilsner" flavor and aroma enjoyed by so my beer drinkers around the world. A large percentage of pilsner barley malt incorporated into the recipe, along with two row pale barley, creates this beautiful golden color for this highly drinkable style. Golden Gunnar Pilsner was named after Head Brewer, Kyle Cormier's new born son, Maverik Gunnar Cormier, born February 2, 2005. ABV is 5.6%. Cheers to Maverik!
