RateBeer.com -- Correct Great Waters Fleurious D Honey AleGreat Waters Fleurious D Honey AleDescription: The commemorative 500th batch at Great Waters!
Five Hundred beers(D in Roman numerals) have been made in the Great Waters beer kettle. This finicky copper tank has survived the havoc that four different brewers could wreak upon it. I thought flowers would be a nice gesture. Wait just a minute here, flowers are what this brew is all about. You see, the barley is ground into flour (play on words here). After boiling, I add hop flowers for balance. To make this brew truly unique, I added some Minnesota produced wild flower honey. This in turn greatly aids the yeast in the flowering of the yeast buds. We all know that is where we get the alcohol content for this Spring time celebration ale, to celebrate the return of the flowers. So, relax, be Fleurious, and don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers. Brewer: Great Waters Brewing Style: American Pale Ale Alcohol Content: 7% Seasonal: No
