Stoudt's special Holiday Reserve ale. Stoudt's Rye Ale is our version of a traditional German Roggen Bier (Rye Beer). Brewed with rye and 7 types of malted barley. Stoudt's Rye Ale features a deep copper color and complex malty palate. The taste of rye comes through as a hint of spiciness in the flavor profile. This medium bodies ale has only a moderate bitterness, but it is finished with a generous amount of two distinctively aromatic hop varieties. The classic german Noble hop, Hallertau Mittelfruch and a new U.S. hop variety, combine to create a pleasingly floral balance to the overall charcter of the brew. The result is a full flavored but highly drinkable winter seasonal offering
