One of the most interesting styles of beer in the world must be the Belgian White or Wit beer. White beers like waving wheatare part of the world's large family of rustic, unfiltered wheat beers (our infamous choc beer being one of them). The suspended yeast and wheat proteins give white beers their unique hazy, white appearance. Its elusive flavors are complex, and it seems that with every sip another can and will reveal itself - the wheat, the Belgian yeast, the delicate blend of spices, and of course the citrus bitterness of the Curacao orange peel. Here at choc Beer Company, we happen to hold unfiltered wheat beers in very high regard, and when the time came to brew another, the crisp, refreshing white beer was the unanimous choice of the brewery staff.
