Named "Drunken Promise" in reference to the promise Rob Tod made to Dick Cantwell, which started this beer on the road to existence. Debuted at Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Beer Fest (GPBF) 08. Mashed with pilsner malt, pumpkin puree, and roasted pumpkin seeds. More pumpkin puree is added to the kettle and it is hopped with tettnang and hallertau. Fermented with a blend of our house strain and our house brett strain, along with more pumpkin puree, entirely in an old French-oak wine barrel. Starting gravity 16.6 Plato (1.068).
