ot sure how long tickets have been up for this, but just noticed today over on BA that tickets are now available for purchase.

Just bought my ticket for Night of the Barrels and EBF session one.

Anyone else going?

Oh yes, I will most definitely be going. This time there will NOT be a business trip to conflict, Ill make sure of it. Ill also be doing the NOTB, and Session 1. Last year a group of us got rooms at the Midtown hotel (10 min walk from fest?) for like $80/night or something like that.

That sounds like a good idea. For NotF I got a room through priceline which was quite nice, for about $100 a night, but if we did a group of them somewhere that could be good too since it would be easier to make arrangements to have couples or such room together. My priceline room was only guaranteed one bed (though they gave us a double when we asked upon check in) until we arrived. 11/1/2009 12:29:01 PM

What hotel through priceline? Is it close? Midtown has good pricing in Feb, is mostly clean, and is a great location (also has a T stop on the corner). 11/1/2009 2:43:13 PM

I’ll be advocating double-fisting behind a booth somewhere as usual. 11/7/2009 11:20:25 AM

I got the Sheraton Boston for $100 a night through priceline.

I’m now slightly worried about whether or not I’ll be able to go to this. I’ve already bought the tickets but... we’re applying for JET and the interviews are ’sometime in February’. Apparently they’re also generally done on the weekends, so if that’s the only weekend they’re doing interviews I’ll have to hunt around for someone to unload tickets on, since as much as I want to go to this, I want a year in Japan more. So hopefully the interview (provided we make it to that stage) isn’t that weekend.

Luckily it is easier to unload tix for ebf than it is for bbf. Is it possible to switch a person taking a room on a priceline reservation?

I’m not sure. My immediate guess is that you need the credit card or ID that the reservation is under, but... who knows.

That is what Priceline says but you have basically paid for the room already. So, that means if you called up the hotel and told them that you just want to let someone else stay in your room (maybe makeup something about this being a gift for them) they may do it. But then again they may not, its all up to the hotel at that point.
