Don’t think I have anything on and the thought of a day out boozing with two top drawer folks sounds like a winner to me. I’ll see what I can do.

I have Virgin Media coming to **** up my telephone line on that morning and then will probably struggle up to the superfest at Crosse Keys in London. The list for which has got so many winners I just hope they serve them in 1/3rds.

But have a great time in Brum, I’m sure it will be good fun as always. Whatever you do Mark, don’t let Simon do any scooping of any kind whatsoever.

I’ll make sure they’re all blends and as a result they’ll be unscooopable.

Me, Loz and me mum are in London that day so sadly will be unable to make it to Birmingham. I might get me dear ol’ ma to agree to nip up to The Crosse Keys or wherever for a swift one at some point during the day, if I wouldn’t be imposing? If I get parental clearance winkcould I ask where the Crosse Keys is? 11/6/2009 3:36:56 AM

Hi Fin - The Crosse Keys is on Gracechurch St, we get off at Mansion House Tube and walk north

Cheers for that info’ Glen.

Just as another quick question do any of the London crowd know of any decent pubs fairly close to the City Inn Hotel, 30 John Islip Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 4DD

We’ve stopped there before and its a great hotel but the surrounding area strikes me as a bit of a a beer desert sadly, any ideas from any of the London crowd would be great.

Not too far away is The Speaker, 46 Gt Peter St. Probably the best pub around there (imo)

I think Chris has mentioned The Speaker in the past as somewhere to go in Westminster. Have to admit it is not somewhere that I normally drink.

If you are in the Crosse Keys on the Saturday, I will give you a text to see when you are about there. Nearest tube is Bank/Monument.

Thanks Ian and Glen for the information.

Sounds like The Speaker it is then for a nightcap. Not sure what time or indeed if I will get to the Crosse Keys yet Ian, will definately try to get there though. I need to check with Loz and me dear ol’ ma to see what we’re going to do, of course I know what I would like to do for the day but I’m not convinced that this will be acceptable when it’s Loz’s birthday that day and the reason we were taking me mum to London was for her 60th a couple of months ago.
