Updates

Round 6 Brewing in Maryville is aiming for a July 4 soft opening. They are located at 427 Whitecrest, near the bowling alley. Clinch River Brewing on Gay St is looking to open around the first of July, as well. Hindsight is progressing on schedule, but will likely have to change their name due to trademark issues. And Abridged Brewing on Bearden Hill is having an open house next week as part of Knoxville Beer week.
So, that’s all I got. Any west, mid-state, or Chattanooga updates?

Hindsight is now called Printshop Beer Co.

I toured Abridged Brewing yesterday. They are smallish - I believe the owner said around 90 something capacity - but they will have a full kitchen in addition to the bar. Currently they have all their alcohol permits in order, they just need to finish the build out and get their certificate of occupancy from the city. They hope to open in 2-3 weeks. At any rate, they could not offer any beer to sample but they did have some stuff from the kitchen and it was very tasty. A few other odds & ends - They plan on having patio seating when the weather is agreeable. Parking is dicey, but t the church next door and the Dr’s office behind them have allowed them to use their lots as long as they are closed.

Round 6 will open on July 29th. They will serve guest beers for a few months until they get their permits finalized. They do expect to distribute into Knoxville.

Quick update - Clinch River is looking at a late Fall opening now, but they also have a small pilot brewery in Norris that should be opening soon.
Crafty Bastard has opened an outpost in Farragut, on West End.

Round 6 is open now (and very cool), but only serving guest beers. Abrigded had a soft opening and is pouring now. I aim to do recon work soon!
