I was pleasantly surprised by what I found at Spirit Haus. Well-organized store by brewer and import/domestic distinction. I like that they will break up six packs and sell singles. Service is decent - the employees won’t go out of their way to help someone without the customer asking for it, but are glad to help when asked. Perhaps this was because the store was packed on my Saturday visit. Prices aren’t too awful, and selection is the best in the Amherst/Hadley area. Decent import selection. I probably won’t be going back as this place takes a while to get to after meandering through college-town Amherst with people walking everywhere and traffic is a nightmare for such a small town.

A nicely laid out store, that is clearly featuring the vast quantity of beers they have available. The service seemed ok, I didn’t have much interaction with them. The selection was probably the best I have ever seen in terms of beer. There were all the usual suspects, local beers and growlers, and a huge, and well-organized supply of beers from around the country and world. The prices were pretty good too. A top-of-the-line beer store! I probably could have spent a couple hours there, but sadly, we didn’t have very long.

Has a large selection, but in my opinion their key to my heart is that they allow you to break up all there six packs and pay single bottle price. I went their and created a heavinly six pack of storm king, oaked arogant, and lagunitas

Visited today after Ryan and Casey and was very impressed by large selection. Bought the AleSmith YuleSmith beer. Also picked up my first Macau beer. Choice.

Nothing like Ryan and Casey in Greenfield,or Town and Country in Springfield, this was still a better than average beer store. Good selection of primarily local brews. A good store for beer, sure.Claims of this being one of the best stores in the state, no.

This place has an amazing selection. Everything from New England specialties, to Alesmith and Stone and a very nice selection of Belgian beers. This was the only place on the trip with Alesmith, so I stocked up while I could. Half the store is dedicated to beer, and it’s certainly worth a stop if you’re anywhere in the nearby area.

Huge selection of beers from everywhere in the world. Rows of American micro singles, racks of corked bottles and a rare beer display case for when you feel like spending some real money. Overall good prices and expert advice from Hopistotle420. They also appear to have a great selection of wine and liquor. One of the best beer stores that I have ever been to. For some reason each time I drive through Amherst I end up here.

Spirit Haus is a must! They always have an enormous selection of beer in many different styles with some rare and difficult to find beer. We always find new beer when we stop in, about 6-8 times a year. Quite an interesting setup. The service is great with friendly and knowledgeable staff. There is always plenty of parking in front of the store.

I worked here for about a year my senior year of college at Umass. Great selection of belgians--lambics, trappists, saisons, strong ales, everything. Great domestic and british selection as well. Great staff (depending upon the night) and always some music playing. Big cooler in the back with more beer not on the warm shelves. Check the back shelf in the cooler! If you are looking for a tasty beer, ask for Benn (Hopistotle420). If he is there, he will tell you about the best beer available in the haus. Lots of rare and top shelf wine and liquor also available. I miss this place.
