4 reviews for Gollem de Pijp - Gollem II
| ogivlado (145), Zagreb, Croatia | | November 15, 2009 Not more than two minutes away from De Beiaard Marie Heinekenplein. At the time I got there (9.30 p.m.) only two beings inside were waitress and fat black cat. After 15-20 minutes place was getting crowded. Rather standard beer selection, and as altonbrownd already mentioned, not all beers from menu were available (Westvleteren as well). | mbuisman79 (5), Amsterdam, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | July 17, 2009 Nice place in the Pijp that’s never too crowded. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside the wood gives a nice atmosphere. Decent selection and some good ones on tap, sold by a bartender who knows what he is selling. | | altonbrownd (77), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | February 25, 2009 Pretty poor, in my opinion. Service very slow. Selection very limited and much less than the beermenu would claim. | | Borresteijn (55), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | February 25, 2009 The second café Gollem, opened just a few years ago, located almost right behind the old Heineken brewery and Marie Heinekenplein. Actually I’m surprised that it’s not entered before. A lot bigger and less "dirty" than the "original" version, but with almost the same feel. Lots of old wood, a long bar, a couple of tables in front and beside the bar and an upstairs part with a couple more tables. A bit off the beaten track for tourists, so not as crowded as Gollem I, especially nice on e.g. a friday evening, but still close to the city center (Leidseplein). Relaxed atmosphere, good tap and bottle selection, decent staff. |
