Best TAP selection in Anchorage that I could find, with focus on Alaskan beers & Pascific mainland brews. Atmosphere is very run down, almost "dive" style bar - plump oval booths, old tables, & run down exterior appearance. Clientele is diverse, and almost disturbingly so. On a Sunday night at 8pm I couldn’t get a table. Everyone had their kids in this place (most under 10yrs old), even though it’s a worknight and a loud band is starting. A lot of people were blue collar working folks, which I thought was odd for a place serving upscale beers. Service was simply average. On afternoon visits I received proper attention but on moderately busy evenings it was below par. Food was average and reasonably priced, given Alaska prices on the whole. Conclusion: if you can get here on a slow time during the day, preferably on a weekend, then Humpy’s is a good place. Evenings are another story.

Visited on late on a Saturday night, the bar had a live band and a crowd of 20-something-year-olds. Service was abnoxiously slow but to be fair it was very busy and rowdy. There’s a neat tap graveyard running the perimeter of the bar at the ceiling, and interesting artwork on the walls relating to Humpy’s (or pink salmon, which are never served here). Fantastic beer selection of 51 taps. We returned the next morning (very quiet, football highlights on the televisions) and ate breakfast, which was filling and enjoyable.

A must visit alehouse. The food is good but the real treat is the selection of beers. The biggest selection in Anchorage that I have seen so far. The menu is great and the beers are listed by style (helpful!) This is going to be a new staple in my list of resturants to eat at because of the beer selection.

This is a great Alaskan style pub. A bit rustic on the inside, but that just adds to the charm. The food is great and not too overpriced. The draft beer menu is one of the best in Anchorage if not Alaska. They have a huge selection of local and imported beers of all different styles. This place can get crowed and loud in the evenings.

Atmosphere is nothing fantastic, sort of a dive bar meets diner slash night club. First visit was late on a Saturday night with a jam packed weekend crowd. Loud music, and slowish service (to be fair it was busy) were off putting but that probably had more to do with me being tired from a long day. Returned the next day for a late breakfast, service was friendly and fast, food was pretty decent (scrambled eggs with potatoes and reindeer sausage) and reasonably priced. Awesome spot to watch the game over breakfast and a beer actually! Tap list was pretty decent, lots of local Alaskan products and PNW representation. Well worth a visit, but personally I preferred my AM visit.

Stopped in Anchorage for 2 days and all I heard was GO TO HUMPY’S. Wise choice. Salmon was excellent and went well the GREAT brew selection. They had some of my fav WA beers not to mention some locals and Alaskan Brewing beers which I love. Really liked it and it was nice to have some good brews before heading to Korea AGAIN. Wont forget it and I advise any and all headed to Anchorage/Elemendorf AFB area to hit up HUMPYS! Oh yeah..the bartender even knew her brews. OUT FREAKIN STANDING. Humpys is where its at.

This is the place to go when you want a good meal, and a great local beer. Christoff and crew take great care to get the best beers available in the state at your fingertips. The food is excellent get their early tables fill up fast on the weekends.

Food - not typical dive food, but this is not the place to go for a meal Beer - excellent selection of local anchorage brews, but nothing unique to this bar. You might have more fun hitting up the individual brewpubs, but if you can only go one place this should be it.

Great downtown Anchorage craft beer bar. 52 freaking taps!...all craft beer nothing from the big guys. Everything from Deschutes, Midnight Sun, Stone, Moose’s Tooth, Pyramid, Stone, Full Sail, over 10 Belgians’, Sleeping lady and somehow they even managed to get in Monk’s Flemish Sour....

If you are a beer geek you need to go here if in Anchorage. Great place, exactly the type of beer bar I would want to run. I did not eat here but the food looked good.

Bar maid was hot...but did not know much about the beers and wasn’t one for chatting. She even made the comment at one point "I don’t know I just pour them" when I asked about a certain beer. Not good at a beer bar like this!

Carft beer tap handles, posters and tins all over the place.

Set aside a full day and taste threw all the beers and stay for a bite to eat you’ll never want to leave! Check their schedule for fun bar events Trivia, Board Night etc.
