Small store with big selection of beers for the size of the store. Well organized. The staff knows their beer. The prices are reasonable and you can even make your own 6-pack. Even buy individual beers. They are now starting a beer of the month club, May 09, and will feature beers not available elsewhere in AK or to walk-in customers. Great for anyone to try new brews not readily available in the "Last Frontier."

Great place to get some beer and wine. Pretty small but they pack a lot in there and it’s well organized. The service is great, I’ve always had someone come ask if I need help and they are knowledgeable as well. The selection is very good with all kinds of beers not available anywhere else in town. The great thing too is that you can break apart any 6 pack and buy an individual beer. The value is ok, you might be able to get some stuff cheaper else where. Overall a great store, I always leave with new beers and can’t wait to go back.

Great store, with a staff that does not know a lot about beer but they really try hard and are very friendly. They are about a dollar more expensive on somethings than the Brown Jug warehouse down the street, but I always come here to support them before I support the chain, local or not. They focus on crafts and high end imports only with a great selections of wines as well. Some refrigeration but mostly dry shelf bottles.

This place has now changed names....it is the Bodega Liquor store (I guess the name change was 3 months ago). Larger selection of Belgian beers than the Brown Jugs in town, and you can buy singles of local and PNW brews. That are two positives. But the selection is rather ecclectic, and the staff is just OK.

When I walked in, I was surprised. From all the recommendations I’d gotten from others, I was expecting a rather large store, but this place is tiny. The small size doesn’t seem to matter though as beer takes up 3/4 of the space and wines only get half a wall down the length of the store and liquor only gets a small shelving area near the cash register. Good selection and this place lets you break up six packs to make your own making it a lot easier do a sampling of local breweries.

Great selection for a small city. Many of the best of the West coast’s breweries are represented here - Deschutes, Full Sail, Alaskan, Pike, Bridgeport, Fish, Stone to name a few. Have a good selection of Belgians as well - I was able to pick up a Rochefort 8, believe they had the 6 and 10 as well. All are sold as singles and the prices are clearly marked so there is no confusion at the cash register and the prices are reasonable - some were as low as $1.35 per bottle. Owner was very friendly and familiar with Ratebeer.com. A must stop if in the Anchorage area.

Small place, but it has a really nice selection of micros (those from Alaska and the PNW, as well as breweries such as Stone, Avery, etc.) and imports, with a strong Belgian slant. The owners / employees are really cool, too. After talking to them, it sounds like they have some new stuff coming in (more Belgians and maybe even some New Belgium brews). The place is kind of hard to find, tucked away in a corner of a strip mall (with an inside area). It’s really close to Moose’s Tooth. Overall, it was a pretty good stop, and I doubt you’d find a better selection in Anchorage.
