The "drinks of the world" store in Basel offers a good selection on swiss beers (especially from the Basel region). Their assortment is classified by country which makes it quite interesting. Their range covers over 250 beers from ruffly 50 countries. In this shop the display is quite nice but the service isn’t charming and helpful at all though. The "drinks of the world" store in Basel is focused on beers, (eg. the one in Bern offers a very good selection on single malts).

I liked quite a lot the one in Basel, the one that I visited most recently (Sept 2004); they had a good number of Swiss beers, nice for a travelling beerhunter. Also interesting for finding a new country. Check their website for the list of beers available.

This beer store can be found in different railway stations from Switzerland (Bern, Zurich, Basel and Luzern). A good selection with about 200 beers from 50 countries. The selection of the different beer stores is at 90% similar, the rest is based on local particularities. Here in Basel you can find beers from Unser Bier, as example.
