| Fin (97), Merton, England | | April 7, 2009 [ Updated May 27, 2009 ] Excellent little off licence. Phoned beforehand to check on range and any rareities and informed that they had all three varities of the Thornbridge Alliance result! got these and some Bracia and prices were also very fair in fact Alliance at £6.49 a bottle is possibly a steal. Really lovely owner and his son were very proud of their business been their since the mid seventies. Its well laid out and has a healthy range of mostly UK and Belgian with some US beers, wish I had more time in there but it was just a quick visit. | | hughie (21), Bedford, England | | December 9, 2005 Why can’t all off-licences be like this: over a hundred unusual, interesting beers from Britain, Europe and the rest of the world? The proprietor told me he’d been in the speciality beer business for thirty years and clearly knows his subject. A range of about thirty Belgian beer glasses, including the iconic Pawel Kwak. | linkup101 (1), Birmingham, England does not count - explanation | | June 15, 2004 [ Updated November 22, 2005 ] This is definitely the best Off-Licence in Birmingham. They stock a very comprehensive range of bottled beers, ranging from Belgian beer to British real ales. If they haven’t got something you want they’ll order it in for you, no problem. Only minutes from the city centre and it’s just around the corner from Cadbury’s World. | | DanielBrown (73), Birmingham (via Leicester), England | | May 17, 2004 A great selection! Easily the best beer store in Birmingham. Lots of strong Belgian ales, lambics and wit beers. Also a great selection of real ales. Service is friendly, and the location is convenient for all the top class balti houses in the area. |
