3 reviews for 1828 Vintage House Specialties
| ShaneMacGowan (11), Maine | | November 9, 2009 [ Updated November 12, 2009 ] The seasonally open 1828 Vintage House has the best selection of Dogfish Head and Belgian and Norwegian imports in the area along with a smattering of Allagash, Bar Harbor and other Maine beers. Rumor has it that they will be opening a brew pub in 2010. Well worth a visit if you are traveling down the Boothbay peninsula. | darthvoracious (1), , Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | June 7, 2009 The owner Win is passionate about beer. He finds unique and interesting beer that is hard to get in other places. He had a brew that was collaboration between the Port Brewing Company and De Proef Brouwerij called Signature Ale. I could not find this in a place closer to home that has an excellent selection of beer. I go to Boothbay many times a year and I was really excited to see the selection he has. I will be visiting the shop every time I go to Boothbay. | | porterhouse (44), Alna, Maine | | July 22, 2007 [ Updated October 21, 2008 ] Definitely worth a visit. If you had told me two years or even a few months ago there would be a place a few miles from where I work that I’d be able to get DFH 90 Min. or almost any Allagash much less Řlfabrikken Porter or Southampton Abbot 12, I’d have thought you were nuts. But seeing is believing and this cozy beer, wine and cheese store (with its own beer room) has plenty of stuff for the beer lover to pore over. Almost all the local ME stuff and lots of the new stuff that has come pouring into ME in the last 1-2 years thanks to a couple of new distributors. Owner Win is passionate about beer and is doing a great job with this new store. |
