| Suttree (86), Knoxville, Tennessee | | July 25, 2009 [ Updated July 28, 2009 ] Nice place, and an awesome selection, especially considering how tiny it is. The best part, however, was the service. The gentleman behind the counter notice my interest in Cigar City beers and immediately made sure that I knew which ones he had and suggested a few more for me to try. . The prices seemd to be on the high side of average, but I got a bit of a beer geek discount. Nice place, easy to find, and definately worth a stop if you are driving on I-75 and can’t go all the way into Tampa. | | changeup45 (46), Orlando, Florida | | July 6, 2009 Finding the general location is pretty easy but finding the actual store was a little more difficult because it’s located in one of the several little strip malls in this one area. The store itself wasn’t that big but a large portion of it was dedicated to craft beer. Good selection. However, there didn’t seem to be a lot I can’t get at Knightly in Orlando, no big deal there, but their prices were high. Way too high. So if you’re going you’ll find plenty of good beer but be prepared to pay a little more than usual for it. | | Jellobiafra (10), Port Charlotte, | | May 16, 2009 Was turned on to this place by a patron of the Icehouse Pub. I’m really glad I found it. From the outside, you wouldn’t know it. About the size of your typical strip mall liquor store, but filled to the roof with awesome beer choices. I have no idea how many types of beer they have, but it’s obvious the owner is a beer fanatic. Only downside I found was that the prices were a bit over the top. In this economy especially, it would be nice if the prices were a little cheaper, but frankly, if you are someone who really has a taste for good beer, you’re willing to pay a little extra for options. Unfortunately, it’s an hour and a half from my house, but whenever in the area, I’ll be stopping by. | | HOPSHUNTER (16), Tampa, Florida | | April 9, 2009 Great place, really nice beer selection. What really makes this place a gem is the owner. He is a fellow beer geek with a vast knowledge of his product. He took time to show me everything he had and answer all of my questions. I will definitely be spending lots of time and money here. | | Sammy (273), Toronto, Ontario | | February 18, 2009 About 15 minutes from the heart of Tampa. Very nice service, and a very decent selection second to Knightly Spirits in Florida from what I have heard and seen. Well kept though beers are getting into other aisles and missable. Perhaps 250 types of beer. Con: high price on most bottles. Many singles, and I don’t mind paying a bit more to get that rather than have a six pack on my hands. Saint-Somewhere was reasonable. Some great selections like De Mole, but youre talking $23 a bomber. | jmorey01 (1), , Florida does not count - explanation | | September 26, 2008 Greatest selection of beer in the area. Always bringing in new items while keeping customer favorites in stock. Owner’s knowledge of beer and wine is extensive. | | knightdr (12), Valrico, Florida | | June 26, 2008 Best bottle offerings in the area. Deepak is a very enthusiastic owner that loves beer (and wine) and is very knowledgeable in his craft. Very easy to spend 30-40 mins in his store. Good place to stock the beer fridge with some of the best available. Deepak is the man! | | kiefdog (101), Tampa, Florida | | June 22, 2008 Visited on 6/21/08. This has to be just about our favorite beer store in the Tampa area after just our first visit. Located in an unassuming strip mall near the Brandon Town Center Mall, the interior is well-maintained and very attractively arranged. It was apparent quickly that beer takes center stage here, as it is located on the main aisle, all along the back wall in the coolers, and just about everywhere that we looked. The bottle selection was so incredible that it took us quite a while to take it all in. Every time I looked around I saw something else that caught my eye or that I cannot find just about anywhere. Deepak (the owner), greeted us quickly and took us on a tour of the rarer beers in the store in between checking out other customers. We must have spent 30-45 minutes here, talking with Deepak, taking in the huge selection, and marveling at how he is able to stock some of the rare beers in his shop. Struise? De Dolle? Nogne O? Weyerbacher? De Proef? Dieu du Ciel? Mikkeller? Haandbryggieret? He has them all. And a lot of beers that we had never seen anywhere else we have traveled. It seemed that every few minutes Deepak would retreat to the cooler to dig out a rare gem that he had been waiting to sell to a fellow beer lover like himself. He sold us two of his rarest bottles on this trip, and we really appreciated Deepak’s attention throughout our visit. What a wonderful place to visit. This one is worth a trip from anywhere in Florida. In fact, Deepak indicated that he has a customer who travels from South Carolina once a month to stock up at his store. Yes, some of the prices might be a little high, but where else will you find this selection in central Florida (or anywhere else for that matter)? Excellent beer store with a dedicated, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable owner. Thanks, Deepak! | gonzo46and2 (7), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 26, 2008 The service rating should go to eleven for this place. Deepak was extremely helpful in suggessting rare beer and really seemed proud of his selection. I noticed the he had Alchel and Konnings trappist beers and asked about Rochefort. He went to his stash in the back and snagged me one. I love this place. | | sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | May 11, 2008 This is one place that is well worth the visit.
The service is top notch. You can’t find any friendlier and kind owner than Deepak.
Everything about him shows that he loves what he is doing and it is reflected in the service you get at his store.
Deepak keeps getting the most hard to find beers coming to the store.
The store has an amazing collection of wines, meads and most importantly beers. From very hard to find to the most general craft beers, there is something for everyone and every wallet.
He has some very rare beers that he keeps hidden in the back and might be willing to sell to a few selected customers who know how to appreaciate a good beer.
