I’ve eaten here about 3 to 4 times. Food is wonderful. I would definately recommend the Rochefort 10 pan seared scallops. I would also recommend the chocolate mousse with whatever beer the waiter recommends. All the food that I tried is pretty good. I’m not a huge fan of mussels, however the smell from the other tables ordering this dish is wonderful. I would recommend to just ask the waiter to order for you. Tell him what you are leaning toward food wise, and to bring you a different beer with every course. You won’t go wrong! p.s. this place is kinda difficult to find if you’ve been drinking at other places!!!

Easy to miss in a low key part of the city center. You might walk pass it and not even see it. Very much old school and from a tourist point of view a nice break from the customer hungry restaurants behind the Grote Markt. The service was great. I only spoke French to the server, maybe they speak English (don’t know). The Belgium Cuisine infused with beer is delicious and worth the price. Expect 35-40 Euros per person. Beer list offers some surprises. Mussels with Corsendonk cream sauce was awesome.

Nice outdoors serving. The beer menu is limited, and they didn’t even have the lambiks on the card. I had a nice dinner though.

Visisted this Late May 2009. The first couple of waitors took our orders without fully understanding what we ordered. 15 minutes later a new waitor came and we finally got the order through. 3 or 4 beers avaliable. Rochefort, Orval, Maes and the 2 house beers which especielly the bruin was absolutely horrible. Food OK though quite expensive. The rabbit in gueze - OK. No 3 fonteinen and very arrogant service.

March 2009. Brilliant atmosphere but the beer menu was not updated and selection was very low. Though we had some nice stuff and OK service

Excellent food. Decent selection of beers. Staff substituted similar beers without asking, if they were out of what was ordered.

Visited late on a Thursday even in February, this cozy romantic basement restaurant was not very busy and playing a great selection of oldies music. Atmosphere was quaint with nicely laid tables, replica peeing statues, and big wooden beams holding up the ceiling. We enjoyed an amazing fondu au fromage entree (later found out to be the best cheese croquettes of the trip) followed up with filet pur au porc Carolus and Lapin a la Geuze (both extremely tasty concoctions) and some Belgian frites. Beer selection was quite good. We were fairly overwhelmed with travelling all day and finally getting to sit down outside an airport, but honestly, this is one of the nicest restaurants we found in our Belgium travels - perfect for treating a significant other to, if so inclined, with the added bonus of some nice beer selection. Service was a little surly at times but it kind of just went with the place, oddly. Overall, a lovely experience.

I guess this is more a place to eat than drink. I was hoping they’re gonna have Cantillon Faro, but it seems they changed to 3 Fonteinen. I asked for the Lambik but instead they gave me the Faro. I’l give this place the benefit of the doubt because the food might be amazing, but I wasn’t so impressed by it and by the very annoying bell above the door that rings every time enters or leaves.

Off the plane at 8, in for dinner here by 10. A Brussels MUST. Great traditional atmosphere and very interesting beer cooking with a limited but thrilling selection of beers. Get the draught lambics and the local beers which you have never had that the waiter recommends. The food is traditional, plentiful, and tasty. Be sure to try the beer sorbet sampler: mine had Maredsous 8, real lambic Kriek, and Betchard Blonde. Amazing.

For dinner in Brussels we sought out Spinnekopke for some lambic cooking... on draught is 3 Fonteinen Faro (very dark brown sugar appearance, which seemed different from the version at the brewery), as well as bottled 3F Oude Gueuze. The meal was rabbit in lambic for my wife, and stouflees cooked in gueuze for myself, along with salad and frites. It was a lot of food, actually, more than I could finish, and was undoubtedly good, but I think maybe both of us ordered something good but not great. I look forward to eating here again, but perhaps I missed out on the magic of this place. Still, few complaints - good food, good beer, the waiters were curt but not impolite, and the coffee to finish the meal was nice as well. The large outside seating area is very nice.
