Much better than the other Bukowski location, and certainly more quiet on my daytime visit. This location has a more traditional, roomy bar with plenty of light and a neighborhood feel. Same or better tap selections than what is available on Dalton St. Service was more polite, prompt, and actually had some knowledge of the beers on tap. Prices weren’t bad for the area and quality of beer. Good location near two other beer bars, the Druid & Atwood’s. Easily accessible by the red line and very short bus trip.

Wow, forgot to rate this one. Similar but more spacious than the Boston location. The way I see it, the only reason to go is if they have something special on tap, which they occasionally do (Heavyweight Catharine, Mercury Bitter) stuff like that. They do usually have a cask on, which is nice, BUT everything is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. To the point of being obnoxious. I like the food, simple, vegetarian oriented fare. Burgers and hotdogs, mac and cheese. Cash only. Nice sized bar. Music is usually quite loud. I’ve had flaky, disinterested service on multiple occasions.

It was a slow tuesday afternoon when I was there. Big dark wooden bar, booths and tables . Couple TV’s. Kinda dinery punk . Big murial of Bukowski opposite the bar. Two garage doors opened when weather is nice. Kept clean. Beer on tap was PBR, Hooker pale ale, Berkshire Coffehaus porter, SN Bigfoot, DFH60, Mercury bitter, Cambridge amber, Middle Ages 10th, Brooklyn lager, Victory Prima pils, Avery Reverend, Ipswich ale, O’Hara’s Irish stout, Victory Hop Devil. More in bottle, but I didn’t take notes on them.I didn’t have any food. Bartender and I casually chatted. I like the set up and can’t beleive it’s takes so long to visit. Like a 10 15 minute walk from Central Square Red Line stop. Worth visiting when in the area. Imagine it get packed at the usual times.

Dark and funky ambiance. A bit loud with the music during the evenings. It’s quieter in the afternoons. Long wooden tables and booths available. I wasn’t too thrilled with the food but it is different. They have a peanut butter burger as well as some other funky burger combinations and wraps. The real draw is the incredible beer selection which includes trappist beers like Rochefort 10, Achel, Orval, Chimay and German, English and American Micro brews and some interesting things on tap. They also serve beers in their native glassware. One of the best Ice Cream places in the area Christina’s is walking distance on the same side of the street in Innman Square.
