belgianstyle (2), , Indiana does not count - explanation | | September 20, 2009 Very friendly and knowledgeable on beer selections. | VandenBossche (1), Indianapolis, Indiana does not count - explanation | | July 24, 2009 Simply the best store in town. Great selection...knowledgeable staff...a great place for any beer enthusiast! Also, they treat the BA and RB members very well. Cheers Sprinkle....keep up the good work! | | hotstuff (32), Indiana | | July 22, 2009 I agree with BBB63 that this store is easy to miss even with directions from Mapquest. Oh well, I found it and that’s what is important. Great selection and yes some are quite pricey and some are very rare for this area. Nice store layout, wide aisles and very friendly and knowledgeable staff thanks to sprinkle for that! He usually pops open a beer or two or three which is always nice as well as a discount to the RB and BA members. All-in-all a great beer shopping experience! | | BBB63 (98), La Porte , Indiana | | July 22, 2009 Well even though is is right near US 31, it is still easy to miss as the store is at the end of a strip mall, now for the good stuff. Perhaps the finest selection of bottled beers in the state and some ultra rare one too. Some of the beers are pricy but then again you are not going to find them anywhere else in the area. Good lighting and wide isles. To combat the prices, ask for your 10% ratebeer discount when you check out. The store manager is a beergeek (Sprinkle on RB and BA) and many of the employees are equally geeky about beer too which helps when looking for something. | | shawnm213 (42), South Bend, Indiana | | June 17, 2009 I like any beer store where I’m handed beer as I walk in the door. Really nice selection here. Got a bottle of Amager Hr. Frederiksen among other good stuff. They even had some port and lost abbey beers, which is unheard of in indiana. They are obviously a little pricey, I’ve read the thread about the prices, but at least they are an option. The staff was very knowledgeable. Very well organized store. And 10-15% off if you mention you are from ratebeer or beer advocate, what more can you ask for? | beveritt (1), Ohio does not count - explanation | | May 19, 2009 Wow! I don’t even know how to begin to describe the experience of shopping at this place, words cannot convey how great a stop this place is.
First off, the store itself is large, well organized, and spotlessly clean. Walking in and seeing cooler after cooler of beer along the back wall, I immediately had a smile on my face. And I hadn’t even discovered the room temperature items. If they have a beer, it is most likely available cold, room temp, and as a single.
And do they ever have beer. I used to live in Indiana, so was anxious to grab some of the stuff that makes it here, but not to Ohio. In fact, I had a shopping list for myself and several friends. This place carried everything I expected to find in Indiana, and many things I didn’t. Talk about feeling like a kid in a candy store.
By far the best feature of this store is the service. On the advice of some forum posts, I had e-mailed BA Sprinkle prior to coming here, just to touch base before I came out and get an idea of what they had av | bulldogp04 (1), Indianapolis, Indiana does not count - explanation | | May 6, 2009 Best beer selection and knowledge in the greater-Indianapolis area. Always willing to be as helpful as they possibly can. Always trying to provide the brews they can possibly get into the state; even some that no one would ever expect to see in this state ! Mike (sprinkle) and Bobby (bobby91w) do a great job and are both very cool and easy to talk beer with ! Very well-ran, clean liquor store. | | tjthresh (76), Greenfield, Indiana | | January 30, 2009 [ Updated April 8, 2009 ] Best in the city. They do not have the largest selection in the city. They weed out most of the crap and only carry the best of the best. If its limited and has made it to Indiana, you bet your ass Crown 19 received it. I’ve seen every Three Floyds release, Upland Lambics, every Founders release, 1 of the 8 cases of Brooklyn Black Ops that came into IN, Struise Pannapot Reserve, and many more. The place is clean. The employees know what’s going on, and if they happen not to know something, they find out. Oh, and don’t forget the 10% RateBeer discount. Cha-ching! | | StFun (10), Indiana | | January 24, 2009 [ Updated January 29, 2009 ] Best bottleshop ever. Imagine a place where the staff actually knows about beer and are actually willing to help you out. Now imagine that this same store gets all the newest releases, is willing to email you when they come out, and will even hold you a bottle if you ask them. NOW imagine that if, at this same store, there were lots of beer tastings, with special gems constantly getting popped, and a discount for anything tasted. Want more? How about fair prices, the best beer manager in the city, and a huge selection of craft beer, whose setup and display actually make sense? Not to mention a giant tasting bar right as you walk in and discounts for multiple bottle purchases.
This store is an hour away from my house, and I make the trip at least once every other week, and have yet to be let down. I only give this a 98 out of 100 because I imagine God’s beer store might be a little better. But I’m not sure. | | Tmoney99 (254), Cincinnati, Ohio | | December 7, 2008 Located off Meridian in strip stores. There for a tasting and found the staff freindly and had very goo knowledge of beer selection. Good selection and drove home with two boxes of new beers. The prices where fair and I enjoyed the visit and will plan my driving trips in the area to stop at this location. |
