5 reviews for Total Wine and More - Park Towne Village
| hargettfamily (12), charlotte, North Carolina | | June 12, 2009 Why give them your money if you can go to vintners or brawleys and get some true beer expert help. | | nick76 (76), Tampa, Florida | | January 8, 2009 For the record when you have seen one of these you have seen them all from an aesthetic stand point. However this is not a bad thing. They are clean and well organized. The staff is always at least minimally knowledgeable on most alcohol related questions and getting boxes and carts is easy. The selection is always good. They always have lots of beers. However most of the beers are easy to find just not in one place. This store had a slightly better than average selection for a Total Wine. So, the selection was very good. I am never disappointed when I go into one of these store because I always know they have singles and the prices will be reasonable. This is a great place to buy anything alcohol related. | | timsilvia32 (37), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina | | October 16, 2008 Mostly have readily available micro, large micro and macro brews. Guarantee they will have something good, just not much hard to find. At least they do the make your own size pack at a slight discount. Staff has always been willing enough to help. For the real beer conisuer though, you won’t need much help. | | kiefdog (101), Tampa, Florida | | June 23, 2008 Yes, Total Wine is the Wal-Mart of the alcohol world, but they do a good job of pulling together most of the regionally available beer. I doubt that you will find anything rare here, but this particular store had a nice selection of American craft brews, imported Belgian and German beers along with some of the more difficult to find offerings from Unibroue and Dogfish Head. This is definitely a stock up store, not one of those places where we spend lots of time talking to the owner. We received prompt service when we asked for it, but most of the help knew little about beer. But the prices are good. | | zappafan99 (10), South Carolina | | May 1, 2008 [ Updated May 17, 2008 ] O.K selection, no service...I like that at the choosing end.. pleasant staff. Selection is good for the south. Most beers worth rating have only been legalized recently. This is the bible belt..yet we seem to be moving into the recent past with maturity. 70%wine as far as floor space goes. Singles..cases ..kegs available. Some stores have a cash discount. |
