7 reviews for Teller’s of Hyde Park
| Packard (23), Kirkland, Washington | | November 22, 2009 Came in here around 10pm Friday evening, and primarily a 20’s 30’s crowd. Four TV screens, nice upscale decor. Food was good, but not exceptional for the price. $33 for an 8-oz. filet was steep, but a good $22 blackened grouper was a decent value. Servers were knowledgeable, and manager personally delivered my glass of North Coast Brother Thelonius. Drafts include some good stuff - Goose Island Bourbon Imperial Brown, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Bell’s Best Brown, but total list of 30 taps and 50 bottles is signficantly populated by mass-market offerings. Overall, this is a decent place for a nice dinner with good beer. | alexsdad06 (6), Ohio does not count - explanation | | August 3, 2009 One of the better stops you can make in Cincinnati if you are looking for craft beer on tap. The selection is generally very good for draft and bottles, but they are a bit pricey. The food is also very good but also on the more expensive side. It can be crowded and loud at times, but solid overall. Parking can also be an issue. Over the years the service has been friendly. | | phaleslu (88), Cincinnati, Ohio | | July 3, 2009 [ Updated November 20, 2009 ] Just underwent a renovation in April 2009- nothing major but updated the interior, so it has a bit nicer ambiance than shown in the picture. Quite a few taps, I would guess a lot more than 20, as listed above. Microbrews from all over the country. Very good bottle selection as well. The food is definitely very good for a reasonably priced restaurant/bar like this- outstanding appetizers, decent pizzas, and a great kobe burger. Update: As of November 2009, Teller’s has Hoppin Frog BORIS, Goose Island Bourbon Imperial Brown, North Coast Brother Thelonious, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Bell’s Best Brown, and Founders Breakfast Stout, in addition to the usual macros and selections by Stone, Dogfish Head, Great Lakes, Bear Republic, Rogue, Ommegang, Left Hand, and so on. They’re stepping up their game. | | CoachJT (14), Columbia, South Carolina | | October 24, 2008 When I lived in Cincinnati, this was always a favorite stop of mine. The overall atmosphere of the place with the leftover elements of the former bank is a nice touch. The servie was great, and the selection was nice. I always stop in when I’m back in town. | | yobdoog (92), Woodridge NY, New York | | February 12, 2008 I have only been here once but enjoyed myself. My gf’s brother lives five minutes walking from here so we were able to walk home after a few. Had a nice selection on tap when I was there including Maredsous, Bells Two Hearted, a few other Belgians and it was summer so they had a nice Blueberry on tap as well. Nice atmospher, very clean. Bartender was really nice and friendly and chatte with the four of us while we sat at the bar and drank. I would go here anytime I am visiting. | | Tmoney99 (254), Cincinnati, Ohio | | January 16, 2006 Stopped here on a warm winter day motorcycle ride. I have been here often years ago and the location is an interesting bank branch turned into an upscale restaurant with a good selection of brews. Service was good and freindly and the beer on tap is multiple and higher in quality. Reviewed the menu which is also upscale and good selection, but due to mid-afternoon ride a had an ap that was very good. Very good upscale meet and greet or family location, but be prepared for the bill. | | JCW (89), Cincinnati, Ohio | | November 11, 2004 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] About as good as it get for a restaurant/bar in Cincy. Last time I was in they had Moinette Brune, Bell’s Porter, Old Dominion Oak Aged Stout, Harpoon IPA, and many others on tap. Nice selection of bottles too! Food is very good, California cuisine, Excellent selection of scotch, wine and spirits. Some what high priced for Cincy, but moderate to low priced for most big cities. Well worth the trip. |
