Solid tap list, lots of Texas beers and a good mix of other brews as well. Nice outdoor dining/drinking area, and as well as a good food selection. They also have a cask.

On a rare day in Dallas when the weather is agreeable to dining/drinking out-of-doors, this is the place to go. The place has a good-sized outdoor seating area as well as limited seating indoors (a decent number of quiet corners exist. It has a pleasantly-neglegted/delapidated feel to it, which fits certain bars, I think. Word to the wise- do not use the jukebox, I’ve never heard a single song I’ve paid for & selected, even after hours of imbibing. Owing to its unfortunate Uptown location the crowd is not always to my liking (despite their prices, it can be surprisingly young & somewhat see-and-be-seen). What food they offer (mostly sandwiches) is average at best, but you don’t come here to eat, you come here to drink. Their hands-down best beer selection in the Dallas area keeps us coming back (and that’s by quality/variety/focus on craft-beer reckoning, not by sheer # of taps or bottles). Gets very busy during happy hour-time, as many businesses are within walking distance. Parking is very difficult to find, unless you prefer to frequent this place during off-hours as we do.

Popped in for a late lunch as I was in the area. There were a few folks hanging around on the front and back patio, but I was the only one at the bar inside for awhile. Lots of seating areas available, bar has a rustic, dim lit tavern feel. No one was smoking inside:I think the law banning indoor smoking is on the books now. My service was great, however I was the only one there for a time. Bartender knew her beer, and was able to describe traits of different styles to a customer who asked. I typically go to the Fort Worth Ginger Man, and this one had several beers on their list that the other did not. I was able to try some new Texas beers and had a Roast Beef sandwich. All in all I had a pleasant experience, but I bet parking would be a little hard to come by when this place gets busy.

Came here for lunch after a hard day. Grabbed ours beers, placed our order, and headed out back. There was less than 10 people there and we were the only ones eating. Our three sandwiches took 30 plus minutes. We asked about them three times and when they finally came out the manager told us they were on the house. A nice gesture from someone knew they had clearly screwed up. Lots of wood area and the inside is a typical dark wooded low lit pub. Both outsides have porch sort of summer camp feel with trees and shade. Overall an enjoyable place with a limited food menu and sizeable tap lineup of thing you can only get there. Prices are very fair.

tables in front and out back - great in nice weather. Large selection of beers - Texas, US microbrews, and international. Cask ale one visit - out the other. Limited food selection. VERY friendly bar and waitstaff. A must visit if you’re in Dallas.

On a recent visit, I test drove the Flying Dog Double Dog Pale and a St Arnold’s Elissa on Cask. Both selections satisfied this hophead. As I came to find out later, the Double Dog’s bite (ABV) was considerable (over 10%) and needs to be handled with care and respect! It was a good thing I stopped at two because I couldn’t function otherwise. The picnic tables up front usually suit me just fine although on some days, they have music out back and it’s outdoor seating as well to satisfy us non-smokers. Soon a new ordinance curbing indoor smoking in Dallas will prevent those inclined to light up and send them outside with me! Overall a comfy place to enjoy a pint. They keep their taps clean and have the largest selection of craft beers both in bottle and on draft in Dallas. A thumbs up from this New York transplant!

Been in on three different occasions. Service can be a little slow at times. Food selection is limited to snack type foods. Staff was friendly enough and helpful with making a selection.

The Ginger Man had a very chill vibe and they were cool enough that they let people bring their dogs to the beer garden in the back. The service was decent most of the workers knew enough to do their jobs effectively. One of the bartenders went in the back and started smoking some bud. Since me and my friends were on the balcony right above him, we smelled and saw everything lol. He didn’t seem to be incoherent or anything afterwards, but then again how hard is it to remember 4 beers. The selection was superb and had most of my favorites. Overall this Pub is one of my favorites in Dallas!

Went in on a Friday afternoon, smokey atmosphere, nice beer garden outside. Server was a bit pompous, and not as knowledgable as he was trying to portray. Tap list was out of date, didn’t have the first three things we tried to order. Finally got a Franconia Oktoberfest and St. Bernardus 12 (on tap). The list would be good if they had everything the list, it would be great... Bottles were not too interesting. Food looked good, but we didn’t try it. Beer was well priced. Seemed like most of the taps were devoted to the Oktoberfest seasonal festival, sadly marzens are not my favorite style.

Came here on a thursday night for a friends birthday. I had never been and was quite impressed with the selection. It was completely different from what I was expecting.
