| m00ba77 (10), Santa Fe, New Mexico | | March 27, 2009 Excellent grocery store. World class service. Good selection. Fantastic food. | kibble48 (4), Kettering, Ohio does not count - explanation | | June 28, 2008 This place is great. Its a good mix of an old school market and a chain store. It has excellent service and a great deli and bakery, not too mention a sushi bar. Very great place to shop and has a pretty decent selection of beer along with wine and a quick wine cooler you can put your bottles in while you shop it cools them quickly. | OhioGuzzler (6), Maineville, Ohio does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2006 Good selection for a grocery store. DLM always seems to surprise me with something interesting but you won’t be blown away with sheer quantity or an over abundance of hard to finds. The stores are great and have excellent food. A very good grocery store with a decent beer selection. A real gem for dayton | | redlem (60), Illinois | | August 3, 2006 [ Updated February 23, 2007 ] An upscale grocery store, 3 locations in Dayton ( I visited 2). I wish there was a store like this in Chicago!!! To relate, a Woodman’s like beer selection, good micro/euro variety. Offers of a $2 wine, $0.50 beer tasting while shopping ( beers of Breckenridge, GL, etc). The food--- 3/4 to 1 inch Porterhouse steaks to go along with every other cut of steak, fresh on ice soft-shell crabs, etc. As a chef, this place was great( I did not visit the main st. location). Granted probably not that far from Belmont but as a beer/grocery store this is the best I have seen by far.
Went in search of clams and mussels, the one store had the mussels called the one of the others stores to see if they had any clams, they did, and said they would be delivered to their store in a couple of hours. While this is upscale service( not needed for me) the other store is only 3 miles away so we drove there. Still a nice gesture. | | Lowe1983 (10), Fairborn, Ohio | | January 22, 2006 Depending on which one you go to it’s beer selection is ok but there isn’t that much as far as anything beyond the regular selection. Good service but I’m a little biased on that one. Good selection of wine. Don’t bother with liquor because it’s all diluted. | | Capa (80), Yokosuka, Japan | | January 16, 2006 Decent beer selection for a grocery store. Upscale. More wine than beer | | JCW (89), Cincinnati, Ohio | | January 24, 2005 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] Dayton’s Jungle Jim’s. It has all sorts of hard to fine foods imported and domestic. Big selection of wines, but they fall a little short when it comes to beer selection. |
