Easy to find location on Wayne Ave and 5th Street. Clean Irish pub with a wood ceiling and wod bar in the middle and tables all around and fireplace in the corner. Freindly service with good knowledge of selection of 9 taps and 60 bottles in cooler behind bar. Very good scotch selection in pour system along the top of bar with a rare bottle of Macallan 25. All beers on tap were average to good and selection of bottle was the same. I had Two Hearted on tap. Good food menu of Irish and american apps and dinner selections. I enjoyed the visit.

I’ve driven past this place a number of times and decided to go out for lunch rather than eat at Sinclair AGAIN. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how PERFECTLY the decorated the interior. BP is exactly what it should be, celtic harps all over the place, not a bunch of goofiness jumping at you. I ate at the bar, and decided on the Ruck with cheese fries and a pint of Guinness. I was hoping they’d have more of a selection, possibly a new stout to try, but anywhere that has Guinness is fine with me. They served it in a classic Guinness Pint, which was nice, but in the end, Guinness is Guinness. The sandwhich as well as the cheese fries were disgustingly good. I ended up with more than I could finish which was kind of sad, because I could have eaten that meal for hours. Delicious. The service was ok, a bit slow, but always friendly. All in all, I wouldn’t eat there often as I don’t have the budget for it, but I will DEFINITELY go back.

When I asked a local where to go in Dayton for beer, this is where I was sent. Dublin is a nice homey little Irish pub that was pretty crowded on both Wednesday and Thursday, which is always a good sign. The service was efficient if not overly friendly. The food was the perfect warming pub fare that i needed on a cold rainy Ohio night. The potato soup was exceptionally good. As for beer ... they offer Guinness, Smithwicks, Woodpecker, Stella and a rotating tap that this week offered Great Lakes Dortmunder. They had a few decent bottles, but nothing extraordinary. So if you want a good scene even in the middle of the week, I’d go here. If you want good beer, go to Boston’s (which is away from the center of Dayton).
