8 reviews for Coffee District Beer and Wine Bar
hankchinaski (4), Florida does not count - explanation | | September 7, 2009 A great relaxed place to sit down and enjoy good beer with people who understand and appreciate it. Chung, the owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating and the rest of the staff is friendly. The draft selection has improved greatly over when they first opened with a frequently rotating selection and they seem to carry most of the bottles that are available in the area. The food selection is small but the sandwiches and desserts are great. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 12, 2009 This place is fun. 140+ beers. Some damn nice coffee. Nice staff. I enjoyed my first visit. Every monday they do a little gathering where people bring beer and share. Nice! | | dimenhetfield (20), , Florida | | May 2, 2009 It was great to find this place. I’m not really into the Avenue that much, all that generic bullshit. This little place is a great find, and only a few blocks from the Avenue. The selection and prices are awesome. The staff is pretty awesome as well. | | hopscotch (152), Vero Beach, Florida | | April 7, 2009 Good bottle selection. Decent, but very limited draft selection. The panini sandwiches are nice. The atmosphere is basic, but homey. Outdoor seating. Parking in the rear... sketchy. Plenty of wines, espresso drinks and coffee. Great service. One flat screen television behind the bar. I’ll go again when in the area. | | Oakes (421), gone rambling, Vietnam | | December 12, 2008 Kind of a like dislike thing here. Some really nice beers turn up at this place, but it does not exactly have that beer drinking vibe. Owner knows beer. Worth popping into, no question, we have found killer stuff here. | | Beershine (261), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam | | July 27, 2008 Tucked away in chilled-out Delray Beach, this is an atmospheric bomb on the inside and plays hideous music, but with some tables and chairs outside it can become part of a very pleasant afternooneven more so if you get some soul food from down the street first, I’m sure. Mostly a coffee shop with a tiny little bar area to the side. Some of the baristas in here are holier-than-thou and clueless in the beer department, but the main beer guy/bartender knows his stuff and is more than happy to put a smile on a beer lover’s face. Hopefully he will be there when you are. Good bottle selection, decent prices. Delray itself is nice, I’m looking forward to going back. | | slimchill (57), Austin, Texas | | June 27, 2008 [ Updated September 15, 2008 ] Bottle selection is relatively comprehensive, tap selection is usually boring. The beer knowledge is lacking severely as of my last visit. Food is generic and overpriced, ambiance is nice if you like drinking in shiny places with modern (read: bought at Target) decor. | darkguardian (1), Florida does not count - explanation | | June 25, 2008 Great little place in downtown delray. Opened Fall 07 so its pretty new. Great bottle selection including one I hadn’t seen anywhere else except up in Orlando. Scaldis Noel (a heck of a beer in fact). Tap selection is weak but they only have 4 taps. I suggested rotating the tap currently occupied by the 90 minute and the belgian white so we will see if they take it. I also suggested some other beers to pursue to the bartender, Grahm. |
